A quick relay from Ronnie King, WX4RON…

Hello everyone. I hope that most of you have your light to medium jackets ready for tomorrow and the next couple of days.

This email is to confirm that ALERT will be having station training on November 15th at 1000 – noonish.

We do have the 3 new radios and have some new to us computer upgrades as well as new monitors in our cubicle now. Instead of having those 3 small monitors we now have 2 that are 22 or 24 inches wide.

If you are on this email list and have never seen the K4NWS station at the NWS BMX then I would like to suggest for you to try to attend one of our meetings and let us know ahead of time that you would like to come see and I am sure that we can arrange something to show you.

For those who are active ALERT operators, please try to make this training so that we can show and explain a few things that some folks have been working on to make operating the K4NWS station easier and more efficiently.

We will also be discussing the new way of scheduling for call outs that makes things works smoother for not just us but for the NWS personnel as well.

Part of this training event will be done in the conference room and part in the cubicle.
Thank you,
Ronnie King
