It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of one of our long time friends and experienced amateur Radio Operators, Mr Glenn Raines  KA4SZQ who passed over the weekend at his house. Glenn was very instrumental in helping many people throughout his career and through the love for Amateur Radio. One of his latest challenges and accomplishments was the successful and effective development of the weekly Sunday Night Simplex Net. Many people from several states tuned in every Sunday Night to check in through this useful technique of relaying callsigns and testing their equipment from state to state through the use of only simplex.
Details of the arrangements for Mr. Raines are not known yet but will be announced at the appropriate time. Rest in peace Glenn and 73.
