Greetings everyone. I pray that this hot weather has not caused any adverse
health problems for any of us.
The "NWS group" (ALERT) has been asked by radio to participate in a
statewide emergency test on Wednesday, 29 july 2015 at 1500 hours CDT. The
request has been to have an operator physically at the NWS location to use
the D-Star radio in order to better test that system.
I would like to know if anyone wants to volunteer to do this. I personally
can not participate as I will be in Walker County spending time with my
daughter and grand children. I need at least one person for this event
that can be at the NWS BMX Office around 2:45pm and leave as soon as the
net is complete on the D-Star network. We, ALERT, already have the
permission to be at the NWS BMX Office for this event, I just need to know
who can be there or who is willing to.
Any current up to date ALERT member that would like to be a part of this
event, please email me or call me so that i can coordinate this.
