Hey Ronnie,

I just wanted to let you know that Matt had a wreck late this afternoon—he is 100% fine but his truck isn’t.  I guess it happens to all young men sooner or later—thankfully, he is a careful driver and is the worlds biggest advocate against doing foolish things like texting, calling, etc, while driving... but it was one of those Galleria area heavy traffic incidents.  Anyway, it is not from lack of interest that we aren’t there at the meeting.  I am staying with my dad at the hospital, who was just diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer, so I will be tied up for awhile... Matt on the other hand is looking forward to participating, learning, helping as much as possible.  Thank you!  We vote yes on all the names you sent.

Greetings everyone. I would like to remind you all that tonight is the election of officers for ALERT. If you are a paid member or life member of ALERT, I encourage you to be at this meeting or at least connect by the conference numbers that are on the newsletter that you get each month.


We accept nominations from the floor tonight before voting and we present again the list of nominees from the committee that was presented last month.


Currently the officers are:


President - Ronnie King WX4RON

Vice President - Russell Thomas KV4S

Secretary - Mike Lamb KK4OHW

Treasurer - Johnnie Knobloch KJ4OPX


Currently the suggestions for election are:


Vice President - Steven Moss KB4FKN is running for election


There was also the suggestion of keeping the current officers in place.





Also since this is an even year, there are 2 positions on the Board of Directors to be appointed by the newly elected President when he or she takes office in July. These 2 positions are a 2 year "at large" term and a 1 year "at large" term.
