Hello everyone. I hope that your skis are waxed and your snowmobiles are
fueled and spare fuel available.... ;D

Here are a few tips seriously:
Be sure that you have some matches dipped in parafin (for waterproofing)
and a few or couple of candles (for power outages) on standby for the next
couple of days.
that you have canned food opened and put into ziploc bags so that you can
eat if the power goes out, or that you have a manual can opener or two, or
that you have previously purchased foods in pouches such as tuna/crackers
or chicken and other things like that.

SO FAR it seems that those folks south of Shelby County stand a better
chance of winter precipitation. Higher amounts are possible the further
South you go.
A slightly lower amount of winter precipitation is expected along the I-59
corridor.

For anyone that wants to know about measuring snow, here is something from
the National Weather Service that will help you out.

"Want to measure snow like the pros? Check out this web page to learn how
to make a snow board, where to place it, and how to make your snow
measurements. Then, if you get some snow tomorrow, send us your accurately
measured amounts to help us track it. "

If you don't know yet, from my facebook,
please keep John De Block in your prayers. He has suffered an ice skating
injury to one of his arms. I am praying for speedy complete healing for
him.
