Hello everyone.
I would like to say thank you to those who attended the training session
that was held today at 10:00am.
there were 4 current members of ALERT, myself, and a new member all present
for a total of 6 people.
I wont go into the full details but I feel that we had a successful
training session. Some good questions were asked and answers provided.
It turns out that some severe weather happened that was not expected early
this morning. A tornado watch was issued for a couple of areas of Alabama
and a few severe thunderstorm warnings were issued mostly to our north east
counties.
One more friendly note and then I will sign off here.
Be sure that you are visiting the NWS BMX Office web page and using it as a
resource. You will notice when there are changes and be up to date on
things. This makes it so much easier to find the information you need WHEN
you need it, and quickly. You will thank yourself later when things involve
people you care about.
Thank you all, and have a great evening.
(oh yeah, it looks like the snow chances I mentioned in a previous email or
two, have drastically been reduced at this time)
