Here's the latest on the severe weather threat early next week...

First and foremost, our thinking hasn't really changed from this morning.
We have made no adjustments to the timing, threats, and threat areas at
this time. The same uncertainties regarding the overall evolution of the
system that existed this morning are still in place, unfortunately.
Therefore, refinements to the timing and impacts will be made over the next
couple of days as our confidence increases.

One thing we can say is that things appear to be shaping up for a potential
high-end severe event(s) across Central Alabama. We're not saying this to
scare anyone, we simply want to make sure each and every one of you are
prepared in advance. Please take some time over the next day or two to
ensure that you and your family have a safety plan in place and that
everyone knows where and what to do in the event that severe weather is
headed your way. We can't stress this enough...PREPARE NOW! Don't wait
until it's too late.
