To all ALERT members,

In accordance with ARTICLE XV of the Constitution and Bylaws of ALERT, the following proposed amendment has been submitted
 to the ALERT Board of Directors:

"Amendment 3

ARTICLE IV

Section 6

Upon written request by an applicant or member and after confidential review by the ALERT Board of Directors, yearly
dues may be waived or reduced in cases of special need or consideration."

Having passed review by the Board of Directors, and having been published one month before the October meeting,
this proposed amendment, after having been read by the ALERT Secretary, will be submitted for membership vote.  If the
amendment is passed by a vote of two-thirds of the members present at the October 8th meeting, it will become part of the ALERT 
Bylaws.
