Info EVERY Good Ham Radio Operator Should Know About his Communications Options!!!

I for one, as a former DJ take a little pride in your choice of fields! For it was me back at the early age of RADIO (in my teens) back when radio was radio and TV was TV that for's reports on SERIOUS weather back to back/wall to wall coverage, one had to tune to radio in the late70's/early 80's for CONTINUIOUS weather To receive their WALL TO WALL weathercoverage back then and you, unless of coarse you lived in Metro B'Ham!!!! The problem is; NO EVERYONE LIVES IN METRO BIRMINGHAM!!!!!!!!
Thease days I spend my time as a VOUUNTEER weather Spotter/chaser (when safe conditions permit) and report my findings directly to The National Weather Service, either via Amateur (ham) rado 0f which you can monitor in the B'ham Metro Area on ANY scanner on the frequency of 148.880mhz or in Tusculoosa on 182.820Mhz, when the Birmingham Office Of The National Weather Service activates A.L.R.R.T. (The Alabama Emergency Response Team) the team THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE activates, and not before, we DON'T "just show up at The NWS, only when called to do so.
However, even if we aren't activate via The N.W.S chat room that even James Spann. J.P. Dice, Mark Prater, and Jerry Tracy can't get into, we have our own chat rooms reserved for The E.M.A. . Law enforcement, and other A.L.E.R.T. have direct access to!!! Many may think that that A.L.E.R.T. chat room alone gets to the NWS...... That's far from the case, unless Mark M. de ountiesWD4NYL is copying and pasting into the BNXALA chat toom!!!! In most cases the counties that are sending their info via the OLD chat room, it's outdated and it is NOT getting to the metorologist at The N.W.S.
County E.C.'s need to MAKE SURE that they have acceaa to it!!!!!!!! if in questionm, send an email To John De Bloch W.C.M. for The NWS at Birmingham Office of The National Weather Service!!!! This is VERY VERY importtant! Because if the meterologist in Charge at The NWS "The Ground Truth you are sending them NEVER gets to them and thus does them NO GOOD AT ALL!!!!!! So this is info of CRUCIAL info!!!!! I can think of muliiple countaties, especially one to the immediate South of Winston County that the info they send is NEVER being recieved by the proper METS. at The B'ham NWS!!!!!! It's needed by...........................

Respectfully,
Bobby Best
