ALERT/NAS/NWS Booth at The Huntsville Hamfest Members of ALERT, the National Weather Service and North Alabama Skywarn(NAS) jointly sponsored a booth during the August 19th Huntsville Hamfest. Featuring materials from both groups, the NWS and the EMWIN satellite system, the booth was a great success. The EMWIN system provided real-time satellite imagery, tropical warnings and other weather data. Interest was high among hams, weather enthusiasts and the general public. For scenes of the ALERT/NAS/NWS Booth, click here! | |
